Ricky Gervais, 60, hopes to live long enough to see 'woke' generation cancelled by the next one

Ricky Gervais wants to live long enough to see the young people of today called out by the next generation.

The comedian, 60, is a vocal critic of Cancel Culture and is unimpressed by 'snowflakes' or 'woke' people who are easily offended, and see older people as having outdated views.

He told neuroscientist Sam Harris on the Absolutely Mental podcast: 'I wanna live long enough to see the younger generation not be woke enough for the next generation.

'It's going to happen. Don't they realise that, it's like, they're next. That's what's funny.

'We kicked out the old guard. We did it. There's only so woke and liberal you can get and then you start going the other way. But it's inevitable.'

Sam went on to say progressiveness is not necessarily generational and people will always criticise each other's opinions.
